Problem Statment
Design a user-centric cinema app that enhances the movie-going experience by seamlessly integrating movie selection, booking, and additional services, while also fostering a sense of community among users. The app should address the challenges of simplifying the ticket booking process, providing personalized movie recommendations, facilitating easy access to showtimes and theater information, and offering exclusive features like in-app concessions ordering and post-movie discussions.
The primary goal was to create a seamless and intuitive ticket purchasing process that caters to both tech-savvy users and those less familiar with online booking. It should also reduce the time it takes for users to select movie showtimes, choose seats, and complete their purchase and need to incorporate visually appealing elements, such as movie posters, theater layouts, and seating options, to enhance user engagement.

Qualitative Research
I conducted a personal interview with different profiles, where I asked them several questions in order to realize the difficulties that people usually have when trying to go to the cinema. Thise can serve as valuable insights when designing the cinema app to improve the user experience and enhance user engagement and loyalty.
Questions:

-
What are the pain points and frustrations users currently face when booking cinema tickets using other apps?
-
How can the app be designed to make the ticket booking process more user-friendly and efficient?
-
What features and functionalities are users looking for in a cinema ticket app?
-
What design elements, such as visual aesthetics and information layout, contribute to a better user experience?
-
How can we enhance user engagement and loyalty through the app?

Pain Points:

-
Accesibility - Is hard for some people to identify the right bottoms or elements to chose in order to buy the tickets because is hard for them to differentiate too many colors.
-
Paying - The paying system isn't very clear, there is room for confusion and mistakes when paying.
-
Choose Seats - Users are often unsure about the quality of the seats they are booking. The existing apps lacks information, proximity to the screen, which seats are available, they don't have a cinema map.
-
Complex Booking Process - Users find the current booking process on the other apps to be overly complex and time-consuming. They often have to navigate through multiple screens and steps before finalizing their ticket purchase, which can be frustrating and discourages spontaneous bookings.
